The Short Version

DIY Port Days is built by a small team that wants to help you enjoy your cruise port days. We collect the bare minimum to make the app work and never sell your data to anyone.

We collect your email address (so you can sign in across devices) and a record of which guides you've unlocked (so your purchases sync). That's it. We do not access your location, your camera, your microphone, your contacts, or your photos.

Who We Are

What We Collect

  • Email address — used to identify your account, sync purchases across devices, and send you a one-time login code.
  • Purchase records — which port guides or passes you have unlocked, the date of purchase, and the platform you bought on.
  • Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) used only for security and to keep the service running. Kept 30 days, then deleted.
  • Local storage on your device — guides cached for offline use. Stays on your phone; not sent to us.

What We Do NOT Collect

  • Your real name, mailing address, or phone number
  • Your physical location or GPS data
  • Access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or photos
  • Browsing data from other apps or websites
  • Health, fitness, or biometric data
  • Anything about your family, your church, or your faith

Third Parties We Work With

We use a small number of trusted services to run the app. Each only sees the slice of data they need:

  • Supabase — stores your email and purchase records on secure servers in the United States.
  • Netlify — hosts the app and runs the secure functions that verify your purchases.
  • PayPal — processes payments on the web. We never see your card details.
  • Apple — processes In-App Purchases on iPhone and iPad.
  • Google — processes In-App Purchases on Android devices.
  • Resend — sends our authentication emails.

Your Rights

  • See your data — email us and we'll send you a copy of everything we have.
  • Correct your data — sign in with the new email and we can update it.
  • Delete your account — tap "Delete My Account" in the app, or email us. Either path removes everything within 30 days.
  • Opt out of marketing — we don't do marketing emails. The only emails we send are one-time login codes you requested.

Children

DIY Port Days is for adults planning cruise port days. We don't knowingly collect any information from children under 13 (or 16 in some regions). If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account immediately.

Security

Your email and purchase data are stored encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard authentication (one-time email codes) and never store passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top and notify you in the app.
