Terms of Service

Effective April 25, 2026

Welcome

DIY Port Days is a self-guided walking-tour app for cruise travelers. By using the app or the website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What You're Getting

A library of self-guided walking tours for cruise ports, including written directions, recommended stops, food picks, historical context, and offline access. Free to download; individual ports and passes are available as in-app purchases.

Your Account

You can use the app without signing in to browse the catalog. To make a purchase or sync your guides across devices, you sign in with your email address. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in code private and for activity on your account.

Purchases & Pricing

  • Single port — $9.99, one-time, keep forever
  • Cruise pass — $14.99, all ports unlocked for 30 days
  • Annual all-access — $29.99/year, all ports unlocked, auto-renews until you cancel

How Auto-Renewal Works (Annual Plan)

If you buy the Annual all-access plan, it renews automatically each year at the then-current price unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID, Google Play, or PayPal settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep access until then.

Refunds

Because purchases are processed by Apple, Google, or PayPal, refund requests go through them:

Acceptable Use

You can use DIY Port Days for personal travel planning, including for your family, friends, or anyone in your travel party. You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, or republish the guide content
  • Share your account login with people outside your travel party
  • Try to extract or scrape the app's content
  • Use the app to break any laws, harass anyone, or do anything that puts other users' safety at risk

Travel & Safety Disclaimer

DIY Port Days is a planning tool, not a travel agency or safety service. We do our best to keep guides accurate, but conditions change — restaurants close, attractions move, neighborhoods change. Always verify hours, prices, and addresses before you visit. Use your own judgment about safety. Carry your ship's contact information and know your "all-aboard" time. Buy travel insurance — we are not responsible for missed sailings, injuries, or lost belongings.

Our Content

The text, photos, maps, and design in DIY Port Days are owned by us or licensed to us. Republishing, copying for resale, or rebranding the content is not allowed without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, DIY Port Days and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — this includes things like missed cruise sailings, travel disruptions, or business losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the affected guide or pass.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
